Q. What time is check in?
A. We welcome you to arrive anytime after 3 pm.
 
Q. What time is check out?
A. Your check out time is as late as 11 am. Our cleaners will arrive ready to get cleaning so please...... no late check out. 
 
Q. Are you Pet Friendly?
A. Yes, we do allow dogs (upon approval) at the Evergreen Cottage only.  Maximum 2 dogs per property, Please let us know the bread, age, and weight of your dog.  $35 per dog per stay + gst 
 
SORRY, DOGS / PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE EVERGREEN SUITE OR LAVENDER AND FERN GUEST ROOMS. 
  • BARKING / GROWLING DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Guests will be asked to leave if their barking / growling dog is not controlled. No refund will be given for unused days and time.
  • Pets must be at least 1 year or older.
  • Guests must clean up after their pets whether on the property, beach, or walking trails. Please dispose waste in a tightly sealed plastic bag and place in the outdoor trash can.  
  • Dogs are to be leashed at all times.
  • Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees.
  • All pets are to be treated with a topical flea and tick repellent three days prior to arrival.
  • Pets must not cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damages are caused, the cost of the damage may be charged to the guest.
  • Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or out. Pet will not be left unattended on balcony, patio, or porch.
  • Please provide your own towels for drying off your dog.
  • Homeowner assumes no responsibility for illness or injury that may occur to pets or humans while on the premises.

The Guest shall be solely responsible for the pet while on the property. 

 
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A.  
A minimum cancellation fee of $150 will be charged for all cancellations.

October - April: if the reservation is cancelled 30 days or less prior to guest arrival the guest will be charge for the stay in full.

May - September: If the reservation is cancelled 60 days or less prior to guest arrival the guest will be charge for their stay in full.

STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS No refunds will be given for snow, road conditions, road repairs, Ferry Cancellations or storms.
 
Late arrival or early departure does nto warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
 
TRAVEL INSURANCE:  We highly recommend that travelers purchase travel insurance to insure the traveler should the unexpected arise: accidents, illness, death, etc.  If you wish to purchase travel insurance, go to Travel Guard or Square Mouth for comparisons and to purchase.
 
Q. What is the maximum occupancy?
A. Guests include adults, teenagers, young children and infants. The number of guests varies per property. Occupancy is determined by a combination of number of beds, septic capacity and seating:
Evergreen Cottage- 5 guests  ~  3 bedrooms ~ one Queen bed, one full size bed, and 2 twin beds
Evergreen Suite- 3 guests ~ studio suite with a queen bed plus a twin day bed
Lavender Guest Room- 2 guests ~ 2 twin beds
Fern Guest Room- 2 guests ~ 1 Queen bed
Q. Can we stay for a single night?
A. We do occasionally allow single night stays mid-week and during the off season only.  When we do allow a single night stay we add a single night surcharge to your stay ranging from $50 to $150 depending on the rental.
 
Q. Why do you charge a single night surcharge?
A. Whether you stay a single night or longer the cost of cleaning our cottage, Suite or Rooms is the same........We are proud to say they are cleaned thoroughly by the cleaners on Bowen.  Therefore our cost structure requires us to charge a single night surcharge for your single night stay.........when available.
 
Q. What is your minimum night stay?
A. We have 2 night minimums.  Although, 3 night minimums are required during long holiday weekends and Christmas New year's holiday week.   
 
Q. Do  you offer discounts for extended stays of a week or longer? 
A. We sure do. Book 7 nights and receive 5% off of your booking.  We do not offer discounts during holidays or the high summer season. 
 
Q. Would you be interested in renting as a long term monthly rental?
If you are looking for a long term rental you can calculate our weekly rate and then multiply by the number of weeks you would need to be staying to get an idea of your long term rate. Your rate will include weekly cleaning. Rentals 30 days or more are not charged gst. 
 
Q. Why do you charge for additional guests at your properties?
A. We often have a just couples as guests so we have start our rates at double occupancy making it affordable for a couple to stay. When there are more guests we do charge addtional fees as the cleaners typically will have more cleaning chores and more laundry to complete for a larger group versus a couple. Plus there is additional amenity usage. We believe this is a win win for us and our guests. 
 
Q. Do you charge for children? 
A. Yes, we do charge for children as an additional guest. With the exception of infants that are not yet walking we do charge for all guests including children. Unlike hotel rooms we have many nooks and crannies, glass, and objects that require deep cleaning like a real home. Our house keepers do an excellent job of cleaning after each turnover and this all takes additional time with additional guests. Plus all guests use bedding, water, towels, and other amenities.
 
Q. Do you have a Jacuzzi? 
A. Sorry, no, none of our rental have outdoor Jacuzzis. Believe it or not, water is a precious resource on Bowen especially during the summer when it can be rationed. The amount of water needed would tax our water resources. 
 
Q. Do you have a sauna?
A. No, sorry, we do not have a sauna.
 
Q. Do you offer on site massage treatments?
